CX Cartoixá Vermell 2022 by Partida Creus is a unique Rosé wine made in Catalonia, Spain with Cartoixà Vermell grapes, hence the name CX. This grape is not very common at all, however, and is an offshoot of Xarel-lo, with a pinkish hue.

Tasting Partida Creus CX

We have not yet tried this vintage, but the previous vintage featured delighful notes of Strawberry Fromage Frais, Apricot and Vanilla. Easy going, unique and fun for different style of Rosé!

Vinification of CX

Cartoixá Vermell grapes are grown over calcareous clay, and after harvesting spend just a few days macerating on the skins in stainless steel tanks. No additions of sulphites, as with all Partida Creus wines.
