Croix Pennet 2022

Croix Pennet is a natural wine crafted by Clos Bateau, in the Beaujolais region in France. This wild, vibrant red wine is made with Gamay grapes, which are taken on a  South facing parcel, right on the border between Lantignié and Regnié. 

Croix Pennet sees 11 days of semi carbonic maceration, before part of it being aged in used Burgundy barrels for 8 months, and the rest in stainless steel, before being blended together.

Expect vibrancy, wildness and a smooth finish with lots of depth. Aromas range from ripe cherry through to creamy vanilla to dark chocolate, after a little air. SENSATIONAL
