Eva 2023 is a natural wine crafted by small family winery Dluhe Grefty, in the Moravia region in Czech Republic.

What is with the colour of EVA by Dluhe Grefty?

This light, 12% orange wine is made with 100% Pinot Gris grapes and the colour is more pinky red, being Pinot Grigio which when macerated is quite a unique colour. The reason for this is that this popular grape actually has a pink skin, rather than red or white! So when you make an orange wine from it... thats the colour!

Expect hints of white pepper, peach, thyme, strawberry fromage frais. Yum!

オレンジワインとは何か？

Orangeワインは実際には白ワインだが、醸造工程が異なる。ブドウ果汁を果皮とともに発酵させるのだが、これは白ワインではなく、主に赤ワインで行われる。この余分な工程が、ワインにタンニン、風味、独特の色を加えるのだ。
果皮と果汁を接触させるため、オレンジワインはハーブやアロマの香りが強くなる傾向があり、ブドウの品種、果皮と果汁を接触させる時間、熟成に使用する容器によっては、少し苦味を伴うこともある。ほとんどの白ワインとは異なり、タンニン（皮から生成されるもので、白ワインは使用しない）を特徴とすることもある。Orangeワインは実に興味深い風味を引き出すスタイルであり、気楽なものから複雑なものまで、そのユニークな特性から多くの人々に愛されている。
